Nur ein kurzer Gruss ... mein Koffer ist heil und ganz noch angekommen, so muss ich nun nicht mehr jeden Tag meine Unterwäsche waschen und kann statt dessen in tollen Unterrichtsmaterialen schwelgen. :)
Gestern hatte ich bereits wieder meine ersten Weg ins Dorf bei strömendem Regen, die Kinder und Leute im Dorf haben sich auch sehr gefreut mich wieder zu sehen.
Es schaut so aus als kann ich im Moment nicht mit dem privaten Englischunterricht für die Kinder weitermachen. Ich hatte glaub geschrieben, dass die Lehrer im Streik waren, weil die Regierung keine Löhne mehr gezahlt hat. Der Streik ist nun zwar vorbei, dafür müssen nun die verlorenen Unterrichtstage nachgeholt werden, indem jeden Tag bis 16 Uhr Unterricht stattfindet, anstatt normal bis 12 Uhr. Da möchte ich keinem Kind zumuten dann noch eine zusätzliche Stunde fürs Englisch ins Klassenzimmer zu sitzen. Gut, so habe ich mehr Kapazitäten für meine anderen Aufgaben.
Ich wünsche einen reich gesegneten Sabbat zum Auftanken!
Just a quick note ... my suitcase now arrived safely, so I do not have to wash my underwear every day and am able to enjoy looking through all the nice teaching materials. :)
Yesterday I was enjoying again my first walk to town in the rain, the kids and people in town were really happy to see me again.
It looks as if I would not be able to continue with the private English classes for the kids at the moment. I think I wrote that the teachers had been on strike, because the government had stopped paying them. Well, the strike is over now, but the lost days have to be compensated by having classes every day until 4pm, instead of 12am. I wouldn't want any kid to have to sit in a classroom for another hour after that. Well, like that I will have more capacity for my other tasks here.
